Abolition Tote
Abolition Tote
The abolition tote is a spacious, boxy black tote with a double-sided, hand-printed design. In teal, one side reads “abolition is the objective,” and the other reads “abolition is the practice.”
Following a political tradition that traces back to the abolition of slavery, contemporary abolition work focuses on police, prison, and military complexes as primary sites of violence to our communities. Our abolition tote’s double-sided message communicates that abolition is both the goal we are working toward AND the political framework through which we are working. You can read more about our intent behind this message here.
We hand-printed these totes by ourselves in our sunny Seattle backyard. As such, each tote is 100% unique, and comes with its own set of quirks and imperfections. The ink is technically glow-in-the-dark, so let it soak up the summer sun as you bring the tote on all your adventures.
